Notes on Photographing Pets
Most pet photography is patience and eye contact. A few notes on doing it well, and gently.

Animals set the schedule, and pets are no different. Good pet photography is mostly about being comfortable with that.
Get down to their level
Eye-level pictures are more personal than pictures from above. Lie on the floor if you have to.

Use natural light
Window light is soft and flattering and does not startle anyone. Avoid flash.
Be patient, then be ready
Settle in, pre-focus and wait. When the moment arrives you will have seconds, not minutes.
